Connected rooms, No respite from noise from the other room

The room we were given was connected to another through a door. The door was locked from both sides. A big group of 40 students had checked in. And one group, about 7 or 8 of them, were in the room next to us. At night 11pm, they were making noise and talking loudly, which was a nuisance for us. We called the reception a couple of times requesting them to tell the students to keep quiet. But they did not do anything. The said they would talk to the teacher !!. Finally, we knocked on their door and requested them to be quiet. But they continued thei noise. And when they left well past night, they ran our room bell and went. Is it no the responsibility of the hotel staff to ensure customers maintain decorum? The rooms did not have a fan, only ac. And the ac temperature indication was so bright, that it lit up the whole room. Room service was pathetic. Whatever we asked from the menu, the response was a curt ‘no’. Housekeeping was ok. Lop cation is good, not crowded. There are veg only hotels nearby.

We had a sumptuous lunch at Pattom Royal. All the items were very delicious. We took fish curry thali, chicken 65 and seer fish pollichathu. The complimentary soup needs more attention by the cook as well as servers.The payasam of the thali deserves special comment... Superb!

The rooms are clean, the bed is extremely comfortable and the room service for food is very impressive indeed. Food quality superb, loved it. Staff very helpful and friendly, especially Gireesh the front office manager. Highly recommended!!!!

Excellent hotel with excellent location, located at city centre with safe parking, extremely clean and comfortable rooms . Would definitely recommend this hotel to everybody. We had an excellent experience with the friendly helpful staff. Front office staff where such a warm personality and polite in service. It's a true sample of excellent hospitality.

I had stayed 22/Nov on Pattom royal hotel with my family. It is budget hotel and maintained well. The breakfast is delicious with Verities. The employees are true professionals here(reception/security/restaurant). I highly recommend Pattom royal those who looks for budget hotel for short duration.
